When planning a large dining room, the first rule is to leave at least 90 cm of circulation around the table; this way, no one behind a pulled chair feels cramped. The extendable model used in the Ruby Dining Room grows for crowded moments and shrinks for daily use, keeping the room always at the right scale. Choose a sideboard height between 85–90 cm so your shoulders do not strain while placing service dishes. Reserve the glass section of the display cabinet for porcelain sets, and the closed lower cabinet for tablecloths and napkins. Light should extend beyond the table: in addition to ceiling lighting, add a floor lamp in the corner so the area is always evenly lit during service.
— Large tables become difficult if they are not in harmony with the space. We look at the rules of comfortably hosting 8-10 person tables through the Ruby Dining Room.
